How We Started

The NOC was established in 2004 by Butch Johnson, and is an on-the-ground non-profit organization in Richmond, Virginia’s Highland Park neighborhood.

Thrift Store

Our Thrift Store serves the Highland Park community by offering gently used clothing, household items, and home goods at affordable, community-appropriate prices. Every purchase directly supports the ongoing ministry and outreach programs of the Northside Outreach Center.

The Thrift Store is open Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, and on the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

When you shop with us, you’re not just finding great deals — you’re investing in hope and transformation in our community.

Food Pantry

he Northside Outreach Center (NOC) Food Pantry serves families in the Highland Park community with compassion and dignity. We are open on the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM.

Our goal is not only to meet practical needs, but to love and support our neighbors through meaningful connection and encouragement.

If you or someone you know is in need, we welcome you.
